Progress Update

November, 2004

We’ve completed our first pilot case study and have completed 21 key informant in-person interviews in the IT sector in RTP, NC and 9 interviews in the Tallahassee, Florida region. Timica Harrelson, the latest addition to our staff, led the effort in completing 59 short telephone interviews with IT company managers in the RTP area.

In an effort to prepare for future recruitment of case study sites, we will be reviewing what worked and did not work in the case study design, providing feedback on the instrumentation and pausing to reflect (and transcribe and clean) on the transcripts of the completed interviews. We plan to resume active case study recruitment in January, 2005.
