The Center on Minority Aging has been re-named the Center for Aging and Diversity (http://www.aging.unc.edu/cad/), under the directorship of Dr. Peggye Dilworth-Anderson (http://www.aging.unc.edu/bio/dilworthanderson.html). Dr. Dilworth-Anderson is also the Associate Director for Aging and Diversity at the Institute, and Professor of Health Policy and Administration in the UNC School of Public Health. The Center was previously led by Dr. Elizabeth Mutran, who retired in July 2003. Please change your web links and bookmarks to point to the Center's new web address. Dr. Sharon Williams has been appointed a Research Scientist with the Institute. She was formerly with the Center on Minority Aging and is now on the UNC-CH Faculty in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences. The Institute will support her research development in the aging and diversity area and in aging and rehabilitation, and Dr. Williams will work in collaboration with Dr. Dilworth-Anderson in research development with the Center for Aging and Diversity. A Program Assistant position has been created to support developments in the Center as well as in the Institute as a whole, and we expect this position to be filled very soon.
