Get more facts about our 65+ population from the Census Bureau's Facts for Features: http://www.census.gov/Press-Release/www/2002/cb02ff07.html AGING STATES PROJECT A report from the Aging States Project, designed to bring together the respective strengths and expertise of the public health and aging services networks to better meet our shared responsibility for ensuring optimal health for our nation’s rapidly aging society, is available at http://www.aoa.gov/network/2002/agingstatesproject.pdf. Initiated in spring 2001, this project has been a cooperative effort between the Association of State and Territorial Chronic Disease Program Directors (ASTCDPD) and the National Association of State Units on Aging (NASUA), with support provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Administration on Aging (AoA). AUTHOR OF WHO LIFE COURSE REPORTS TO VISIT IOA Dr. Isabella Aboderin (whose report “Life course perspectives on coronary heart disease, stroke and diabetes…” is included below in our new resource list) will be visiting the Institute for a few weeks in July, 2002.
