IOA Interim Co-Director Mary Palmer Named A Fellow Of The American Geriatrics Society

Dr. Mary H. Palmer, PhD, RNC, FAAN, Interim Co-Director of the UNC Institute on Aging and Co-Lead of the IOA Healthy Aging Program, has been selected as a Fellow in the American Geriatrics Society and acknowledged at the annual scientific meeting on May 12, 2011 in National Harbor, MD.

At the AGS meeting, Dr. Palmer was part of a panel where she presented An Associate Editor's Perspective on Pearls on Publishing in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.

In June, Dr. Palmer will present the Thelma Wells Lecture at the 43rd Annual Conference of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Society meeting in New Orleans. The title of her presentation is "Why urinary incontinence matters in heart failure patients."
