IOA Recognizes SCSEP Employees During Older Americans Month

In celebration of Older Americans Month, the Institute on Aging salutes its three Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) employees. SCSEP is a federally-funded program that enhances employment opportunities for unemployed older Americans and promotes them as a solution for businesses seeking trained, qualified, and reliable employees.




Delores (Dee) Drummond

Originally from Greenville, SC, Dee was a Training Technician for the Department of Defense from 1978 until 1999. In 2006, she moved to Chapel Hill to be closer to her daughter. Before being assigned to the IOA, she was in training at the Orange County American Red Cross. At the IOA, Dee handles the reception area and assists the administrative staff.

Nick Eylers

Nick is a resident of Chapel Hill, originally from Poughkeepsie, NY. After a twenty year career in software engineering he decided a new career challenge and direction was needed. His interests outside of work include walking in the woods, reading obscure and strange history, and listening to a variety of music. At the IOA, he works for Danielle Borasky on web and database issues.

Henry Maiden

Henry is a resident of Carrboro. He loves reading, walking, and biking, and volunteers frequently at the Red Cross, IFC, and the Seymour Center. He studied as an undergrad at UC Berkeley and has a B.A. in sociology, and prior experience in publishing and organizational development. At the IOA, Henry works for Scientist Jen Craft Morgan.
