The UNC Institute on Aging has extended the dates for receipt of applications for the Research Stimulus Grants in Aging program. The new deadline for letters of intent is April 23, 2007.

This will be the second year that the grants have been offered, building on a successful launch last year. In 2006, four grants were awarded to investigators from across the UNC Chapel Hill campus. The goal of the program is to build greater strength in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary aging research on the UNC Chapel Hill campus.

This year, up to four grants will be again be awarded to UNC Chapel Hill faculty who will use the funds to build interdisciplinary teams and develop research proposals in aging.
