Call for Presentations Issued for 2007 Aging Exchange at UNC Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL — On March 27, 2007, the UNC Institute on Aging, in collaboration with several partners at UNC, will host a half-day event to celebrate aging research, education and service on campus. The Aging Exchange: Education, Research and Service at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will especially highlight the contributions of graduate students and fellows.

Paper and poster presentations will illustrate a rich diversity of aging activities in all areas of research in aging, including social sciences, public health, basic science, clinical, translational, and health and social services. Clinical innovations and promising practices in aging services and innovative aging education approaches will also be featured. The Institute will present outstanding campus leaders and students with the Gordon H. DeFriese Award. A reception celebrating the 10th anniversary of the UNC Institute on Aging will top off the event.

Individuals at UNC Chapel Hill are invited to submit applications in response to the Call for Presentations, available for download from the Institute's web site at http://www.aging.unc.edu/events/agingexchange/.
