North Carolina Conference on Aging Session Abstracts Now Available

July 20, 2006

The list of Session Abstracts for the 2006 NC Conference on Aging is now available on the conference web site at: http://www.aging.unc.edu/nccoa/program.html. The NCCOA conference will be held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Research Triangle Park, October 25-27, 2006.

This year's Conference theme is "Boomers Turning 60—Implications For All of Us." Baby boomers will have the opportunity to redefine the meaning and purpose of their older years. As some of the demands of work and family that have commanded their attention in mid-life recede, boomers will have the potential to become a social resource of unprecedented proportions by actively participating in the life of their communities.

Also available for download on the Conference web site is the 2006 Sponsor, Exhibitor & Advertiser Information.

About the NC Conference on Aging
The North Carolina Conference on Aging is a collaborative effort to develop a professional conference to provide educational and networking opportunities for anyone interested in long-term care, vital aging, family issues, work and retirement, leadership, and professional development. Realizing the diverse nature of this task, we have made a deliberate effort to include local, regional and state-level service providers, educators, students, consumers, volunteers, clients, caregivers, policymakers, and administrators.
