LaVeist to Present Lecture on December 1

CHAPEL HILL — On Thursday, December 1, 2005, from 10:00-11:30 a.m., the Institute is pleased to welcome Thomas A. LaVeist, PhD, who will speak on "Problems and Prospects for Health Disparities Research." LaVeist is Director of the Center for Health Disparities Solutions at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is also Professor of Health Policy & Management and Professor of Sociology at Johns Hopkins.

This lecture is sponsored by a partnership including: The Center for Aging & Diversity at the UNC Institute on Aging, the UNC Program on Ethnicity, Culture & Health Outcomes, and the Department of Health Policy & Administration, School of Public Health.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be held in The Hooker Research Center, UNC School of Public Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield Auditorium, Ground Floor.
