Ann Johnson is honored by the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services

September 28, 2004

On September 16th, friends and associates gathered at the offices of the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services to honor Ann Johnson. A longtime activist and untiring advocate for aging issues in North Carolina, Ann's portrait now graces the walls of the Division as an inspiration to all.

Speakers at the ceremony highlighted Ann's accomplishments and indomitable spirit, and included Dennis Streets, Karen Gottovi, George Maddox, David Moser and others. Ann also received letters of commendation from Governor Mike Easley and Lt. Governor Beverly Purdue, both of which were read aloud as part of the ceremony.
