News ReleaseIOA Announces Seminar SeriesJanuary 16, 2003 The Institute on Aging announces a Seminar Series for the Spring 2003 semester. These seminars are open to faculty, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students, and otherwise by arrangement with the program director. The seminars are "bag lunch" (beverages are provided). A schedule of the seminars is available on the IOA events calendar. The Seminar Series is comprised of two distinct groups collaborating together: the Carolina Program in Healthcare and Aging Research (CPHAR) "Proseminar Series" and the Ethnicity, Culture, Race and Aging (ECRA) interest group series. Doctoral and post-doctoral fellows of the CPHAR program will typically do advanced reading for the seminar. The ECRA series addresses a number of conceptual and methodological issues that are important when conducting research with diverse populations. For further information or to secure a copy of advanced readings, please contact diane_wurzinger@unc.edu, 966-9444, victor_marshall@unc.edu 843-8067 or, for the ECRA sessions, peggye_dilworth-anderson@unc.edu, 966-8138.
