Durham Agency for Older Adults Wins National Award

Senior PHARMAssist, a Durham agency that assists older adults with their prescription medications, was one of ten organizations recently honored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Community Leadership Program. The award includes $100,000.

Gina Upchurch, a graduate of the UNC Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy, founded and currently operates the program. The mission of Senior PHARMAssist is to educate Durham County senior adults about preventive health measures; consult with seniors and heathcare providers about safe and effective
