News ReleaseRural Aging Report PublishedFebruary 20, 2001 The Institute on Aging has published a report from the North Carolina Governor's Advisory Council on Aging Symposium on Rural Aging, held in Raleigh in April 2000. The report is entitled, Serving Older Adults In Rural North Carolina: Meeting The Challenge. It contains a final report from the symposium, recommendations made by the Governor's Advisory Council on Aging to the Governor, keynote papers by Vira Kivett, Jim Mitchell, and Karen Roberto, Commentary by Luci Bearon, and additional resources on rural aging in North Carolina. Copies of the report are available from the Institute on Aging in electronic or hard copy. Electronic copies of the publication are available for free (download the report here (note: you must have a current version of the free Adobe Reader).
