Annual Poster Symposium a success

January 24, 2001

The Institute on Aging held its Annual Poster Symposium yesterday. A crowd of about 100 people attended the event, held at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center in Chapel Hill.

The first part of the program was a Distinguished Lecture by Rosalie A. Kane, Ph.D. (pictured below). Dr. Kane spoke about quality of life in long term care.

Following the lecture, student and faculty grant recipients presented the results of their work. The grants were awarded by the Institute and its affiliated Center on Minority Aging. A list of IOA grant recipients is available from the Institute's web site.
