Institute awarded grant to develop web based learning modules

November 1, 2000

The Institute on Aging was recently awarded a grant by the UNC-Chapel Hill Provost's Office to develop web-based learning modules in aging. The grant, part of a competition to address Strategic Initiatives, will allow the Institute to foster the use of technology in aging education. An interdisiciplinary group of faculty will help plan the modules. Interactive multimedia will be used to create educational experiences on several different topics related to aging. The modules developed under this grant will be made available to faculty and students for use in their classes.
