Theses & Dissertations in the Information Center

The Information Center collects theses and dissertations written by students in higher educational institutions in North Carolina. Students are encouraged to submit their completed theses or dissertations to us according to the guidelines below. Faculty advisors are asked to encourage their students to submit their completed work. The documents will become part of our unique collection and be available for others to use.

Guidelines for submitting theses and dissertations:

1. The thesis or dissertation must have been completed by a masters or doctoral student in one of North Carolina's institutions of higher education.

2. We must receive a complete copy of the final version of the thesis or dissertation.

3. Hardcopy or electronic versions are acceptable:

If you submit a print copy, we prefer a bound copy. If you submit unbound pages, we will have them simply bound.

If you submit an electronic copy, it must be in pdf format (any word processed document can be converted to pdf - we can help with this). We will place the file on our web server and make it available to our users.

Please contact us if you have a project in some other format.

4. In the case of electronic submissions, we prefer to receive submissions directly from the author of the item. Submissions from advisors are acceptable provided the student is aware of the situation.

5. Items should be submitted to:
