About the IOA Information Center

Overview

Established in February 2000, the Institute on Aging Information Center is a central source of aging-related information in North Carolina. The Information Center's resources are available to researchers, health professionals, government officials, and others across the state. We have a specialized library of resources. Access to the resources is provided via Agelib, our digital library.

Collections

Our collections focus on: North Carolina aging; diversity; rural aging; long term care issues; healthy aging; aging, work and the retirement transition; aging and the community; and aging and library and information science. Our collections consist of resources in a variety of formats including books, journals, reports, web sites and more. Read more about our collections.

Databases & Search Tools

We have a digital library of our collection -- search AGELIB now. We also have an online gerontology journals finder. Users may also search aging literature via AgeLine.
