Seminar Series

UNC Aging Seminar Series

Seminars are listed on our online calendar of events. Also, you can download the entire Spring 2008 Seminar Schedule.

The IOA weekly seminar series, which encompasses the Ethnicity, Culture, Race and Aging (ECRA) seminar series, will be held Thursday afternoons, from 3:30 to 5 PM during Spring 2008. Venue: IOA main conference room, 2nd floor, 720 MLK Jr. Blvd.

This seminar is open to  all interested persons, including members of the UNC community, students and faculty of other universities, older adults and those in the aging service and policy sectors, as well as the business sector. Investigators who are funded in the Institute's Research Stimulus Grants Program are expected to attend.

The seminar series will again be arranged by Victor Marshall, IOA Director, and Peggye Dilworth-Anderson, IOA Associate Director for Aging and Diversity. The seminars will generally have a research focus but reflect the Institute's commitment to linking research, education and service.

We welcome suggestions, including self-nominations, for seminar speakers. As the schedule of speakers is arranged, we will announce via the IOA listervs and website.

ECRA Seminar Series

The Institute also sponsors the ECRA Seminar Series, as part of the Ethnicity, Culture, Race and Aging interest group. Seminars are open to the public. Seminars are listed on our online calendar of events.
