Community Advisory Board
About the Community Advisory Board
The ten member Board meets quartly and advises the Center on which communities to hold seminars or information sharing and gathering meetings; some members of the Board assist with selecting pilot investigators for future studies. The Board also helps researchers identify needed areas of research in their communities, helps researchers identify, gain and maintain access to samples of elders for their research projects, and provides on-going strategies for building community relations to enhance research in the older racial diverse communities.
