Ilene C. Siegler, PhD, MPH

Ilene Siegler is a Senior Research Scientist at the UNC Institute on Aging. She holds her primary appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University as Professor of Medical Psychology. She holds secondary appointments as Professor of Psychology: Social and Health Sciences at Duke, Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at UNC School of Public Health, and Senior Research Scientist, Gerontology Center, University of Georgia. She is currently PI of a large grant, Surveillance and Analysis of the UNC Alumni Health Study (http://www.uncahs.org), which is continuing a long-term, longitudinal study of UNC alumni who are members of the Baby Boom cohort approaching age 60. She participates in collaborative research with other researchers at the IOA.
