Marlys Ray, MSLS

Librarian

Marlys has worked at the Institute since 2001. Her duties include editing the Institute's monthly newsletter, NC*Aging, and assorted information services tasks and projects as part of the IOA Information Center team. Some of the online tools she has developed include a quiz on global aging, and a tutorial on end of life resources for North Carolinians.

Prior to coming to the IOA, Marlys worked in library and information services in various settings including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and Rex Hospital. She has a BA degree in French and Russian from Vassar College, an MSLS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science, and belongs to the North Carolina Library Association. Before obtaining her MSLS, Marlys worked in the financial services field.
