Marlys Ray, MSLS

Librarian

Marlys has worked at the Institute since 2001. Her duties include editing the Institute's monthly newsletter, NC*Aging, and assorted information services and projects as part of the IOA Information Center team, including content and maintenance for the Institute's web site.

Prior to coming to the IOA, Marlys worked in library and information services in various settings including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and Rex Hospital. She has a BA degree in French and Russian from Vassar College, and an MSLS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science. She belongs to the North Carolina Library Association, and served in the past as president of the North Carolina Chapter of the Special Libraries Association. Before obtaining her MSLS, Marlys worked in New York in the financial services field.
