Marilyn D. Hartman, PhD

Senior Research Scientist

Marilyn Hartman has been appointed a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute on Aging, with an effective date of January 1, 2007. An associate professor of psychology at UNC, she has worked closely with the Institute as a mentor in the CPHAR program and the Research Stimulus Grant program as well as on the Gordon H. DeFriese Awards Committee. Dr. Hartman has strong interests in cognition and memory, volunteer caregivers in end of life care, and interventions to alleviate balance problems and reduce the risk of falls.
