Carol A. Giuliani, PT, Ph.D.

Senior Scientist

Carol Giuliani is a Senior Scientist at the IOA. Dr. Giuliani is also a Professor in the Department of Allied Health Sciences School of Medicine, Division of Physical Therapy and Program in Human Movement Sciences. She has extensive research in studying upper limb control and recovery of function in people with stroke. More recently her focus has been on falls prevention in older adults. She conducts research on the effects of exercise programs to improve balance and prevent falls and is especially interested in developing community based falls prevention.
