Main Entrance

The IOA is located in building 720 in Bolin Creek Center. The main reception area for the IOA is on the second floor of the 720 building. The entrance door on the south side of the building (around the right side of the building) goes directly to the second floor.

Driving Directions

Driving WEST on I-40 (from RDU Airport, Raleigh and Greenville):
I-40 W toward Chapel Hill/Durham. Take exit 273A for NC-54 W toward Chapel Hill. This becomes Raleigh Rd. and then becomes South Rd. Turn right at S Columbia St/NC-86 N. Follow this through campus. Turn right into Bolin Creek Center. There are two white office buildings, 720 is the one on the right.

Driving EAST on I-40 (from Greensboro and Winston-Salem):
Take Interstate 40 East (which merges with Interstate 85 North). Stay on 40 East going to Raleigh. Take Exit 266 at Highway 86 and turn RIGHT at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp. Go through approximately nine traffic lights, making sure that by the 9th traffic light (Umstead Rd./Hillsborough St.) you are in the LEFT lane. Proceed to LEFT turning lane, go past small shopping center, and turn LEFT into Bolin Creek Center. These are two small office buildings, 720 is on the right. (It is approximately 3.6 miles from Exit 266 to our door.)

NOTE: Once you turn into the parking lot take an immediate right hand turn inside the parking lot and head up the “hill” to the top of the parking lot. You will see a ramp to your left on the back of the building. Enter by this ramp and you will be on the 2nd floor where the Institute’s reception area is located.

Parking

All adjacent parking is for State vehicles/UNC permits only. Limited visitor permits may be available through the IOA; please see the receptionist.

Vehicles parked in the private parking lots next door are subject to towing.
